PIEMME – Prodotti Mediterranei is a modern company and leader in the agro-food and liquor sector. Within the incomparable beauty of the Sorrento Peninsula, under the Mediterranean sea, traditional Piemme culinary specialties are made by passionate local people who love the traditions of this land.
It produces Limoncello, Baba and typical Italian liqueurs respecting the local tradition. The passion for local traditions and the attention to the genuineness of its ingredients are so important that PIEMME follows all the stages of the production chain, from cultivation, harvesting and lemon peeling to the infusion and the bottling. Moreover, PIEMME is one of the few companies which has an internal pastry factory.
Since 1986, PIEMME is the undisputed leader in the production of Limoncello, which rightly can be considered the Gold of Sorrento.
The harvest of Sorrento lemons is made by hand to prevent the fruit to being ruined. This precedes a series of processes designed to achieve the production of Limoncello, which PIEMME realized within the company.
Indeed, the infusion phase in pure alcohol and sugar beet (without any additives, syrup or sweetener), the extraction of the skins from the containers and the bottling are the basis of a craftsmanship work characterized by technological innovation and strict quality controls in accordance with the regulations (Protected Geographical Indication) that, to ensure the excellence of the final product.
