After a long refinement in prized French oak barriques, Calamaio is made with only local grapes coming from Emilia Romagna vineyards. NO COLORINGS, ADDITIVES NOR CARAMEL ADDED. A rich, aromatic and sweet Balsamic Vinegar with the right acidity degree and a velvety texture.
It makes the difference on a slice of meat and matured cheese, such as Parmigiano Reggiano. It’s impressive to enrich fruits or even a piece of chocolate cake and a bowl of vanilla ice cream. We suggest to use it as a final touch by directly pouring it on gourmet dishes since it doesn't need any reductions. In 2006, Calamaio won the Bellavita Award by deserving 3 stars and being ranked as “exquisite” during the Bellavita Expo London.
