The company was officially founded in 2002, but finds its origins in the artisan workshop of the Menichetti family which since 1960 has been producing sweets and delights in the pastry shop of Ponte a Egola (PISA).
Following its family tradition, but embarking on a new and more contemporary path, Riccardo Menichetti decided to focus his laboratory in the chocolate field, specializing initially in spreadable chocolate creams.
he fundamental philosophy of the company is the attention in the choice of ingredients and in proposing chocolate creations not only to pastries and gourmet shops, but also to a wider public.
Menichetti Cioccolato is one of the first Italian artisan chocolate companies to win the trust of the organized large-scale retail trade: it is together with its partners that it has developed the idea of turning an artisan quality offer to a wide and varied clientele, enhancing the products in dedicated corners and off-shelf display areas.
