Professor Cescon was founded in the 1950s by Ivan Cescon, a biology professor and researcher at the University of Milan, who strongly believed that the secret to a good wine lay in the science. He had often worked with wine in his laboratories and a glass or two after work inspired by his love for his native town of Treviso.

The bold rich colour created by this grape provides Professor Cescon’s unique flavour; knowing that naturally, the grapes themselves can produce a rather acidic aftertaste, the Professor worked hard to control all aspects of production, putting into practice the work he had done at the university, creating a bold, refined flavour that compliments a number of classic dishes.

As time went on Cescon’s passion for creating wine became more and more prominent and it was not long before viticulture became his main employment: he left Milan, and with the help of the rest of the family moved to Salgareda, his wife’s hometown. It was here he founded his winery full time, choosing to focus on the Raboso vines – a grape hailing from the east coast of Veneto.

Professor Cescon’s uniquely eye-catching artisanal bottles will be available at Bellavita Expos in Warsaw and Amsterdam. Be sure to register for your free ticket today to ensure you don’t miss out!
