In 1979 in Naples, by the Vesuvius hillsides, Mr Vincenzo Izzo, founded Caffé Izzo, an artisan coffee roasting factory, where every day the real Neapolitan espresso is produced.
Thanks to the strong enterprise spirit of the founder and to a high quality staff, the company has grown over the last 25 years and has established its presence in both the domestic and the international market, offering a wide range of products and services, from coffee, to machines and franchised Caffé Izzo Shops. Aware of the progresses achieved so far, and steadily committed to continuous and constant improvement, we pride ourselves today on playing an important role in the complex scenario of coffee business, especially thanks to the dynamism of our ideas.
What would you say is your best product? What makes it unique?
Our leading products are Izzo Silver and Izzo Gold 100% Arabica, all packed in controlled atmosphere tins. Fifteen years ago, from another great idea of Mr Izzo, the company started the production of Espresso Professional Machines (Lever, Automatic, Semi-automatic and professional for home use) to offer to our customer a project. ESPRESSO IZZO Project means the Perfect Espresso in the Cup: creamy, with good taste and aroma and an aftertaste with hints of chocolate, because who knows espresso better than a roaster company? We are now the only company in the world to roast the coffee and produce the coffee machine.
In Italy we only sell to Ho.re.ca. as ours is a High quality coffee. You can drink Izzo Espresso in more than 60 countries in all the 5 continents: Europe, Americas, Asia and Australia. But we are always looking for selected partners all around the world.
How do you balance tradition and innovation?
Our company is the perfect synthesis between state of the art technology and strong roots in our tradition, as we believe that technology has to be to the service of tradition in order to continue to produce the real Neapolitan espresso.
We buy the best Arabica varieties from our carefully selected coffee plantations in Central and South America, India and Ethiopia and the raw coffee is first analysed and then processed in our new coffee roasting division. Our Mission is to translate the passion for the high quality espresso in a universal language.
From our factory the Izzo Academy, exclusive itinerant “Vans” with a bar inside, depart to spread the culture of the true Izzo Espresso, teaching the best Espresso brewing techniques, the attention to the espresso machine and to the other equipment, to show how to get the high quality espresso in the cup.
Caffé Izzo will be among the most interesting exhibitors at the Bellavita Expo in Amsterdam 20-21 November 2016.
